Leonel Ramiro Lozano, 73, passed away on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010. He was born on Feb. 2, 1937 in Hebbronville to Gregorio and Cecilia (Acevedo) Lozano. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for six years during the Vietnam Era. He also retired from Berry after 27 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Estella L. Obregon and Josefina L. Alvarado.

He is survived by his wife, Angelita Flores Sifuentes; two daughters, Olga (Danny) Trejo of Bastrop, La., and Angie Lozano of San Antonio; his step-children, Jessie (Christina) Sifuentes, Libby (Raymond) Pinon, Angie Sifuentes, Oscar (Roxie) Sifuentes, Danny (Emily) Sifuentes, Corina (Hector) Carrisalez, Rosemary (Missy) Sifuentes, all of Corpus Christi, Mary (Rudy) Paredez of Refugio, and Josie (Razz) DeLeon of Harlingen; brothers and sisters, Olivia (Alberto) Puga of Goliad, Lauro (Janie) Lozano of Flour Bluff, Luis (Lydia) Lozano, Alicia Lozano, Leonires (Amelia) Lozano, Lazaro Lozano, all of Robstown, Teresa Lozano of Hebbronville, Librado (Maricela) Lozano of Sandia, and Hortencia Martinez of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren, Frankie Lopez, Brianna Beserra, Bianca Trejo, Gabriela Trejo, and Sophia Trejo; 16 step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Corpus Christi. Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.
