Virginia Munguia Gonzalez, 50, passed away on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 17, 1959 in Robstown to Conrado Munguia and Modesta Garcia. She was a Catholic, a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Banquete.

Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, Modesta Garcia Salazar; her sister, Rosa Elia Ornelas; and her father-in-law, Carlos Gonzalez.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Gonzalez; her daughters, Christina (Genaro) Rojas, Citalyn (Bert) Perez and Carla (Norman) Ramirez; her father, Martin Salazar; her brother, Martin (Nancy) Salazar Jr.; her sisters, Lucinda (Jorge) Gonzalez, Zulema (Joe Luis) Sanchez, Linda (Ben Rojas) Munguia; her mothers-in-law, Manuela Gonzalez and Olga Gonzalez; her nephews, Jorge Gonzalez Jr. and Martin Gonzalez; her grandchildren, Daniel Herrera, Genaro Rojas Jr., Virginia Modesta Rojas, Eric Perez, Lorena Ramirez, Mia Perez and Norman Ramirez Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.
