Betty Wilson Daws, 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007.
She was born Feb. 14, 1926 in Ennis to Alvin and Laurie T. Sharp Wilson.
Mrs. Daws retired from Tuloso-Midway High School in 1986 where she was an English teacher for 23 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed genealogy and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Daws Sr. of Corpus Christi; her son, Bill (Deanna) Daws Jr. of League City; her daughter, Debbie Daws (Chuck) Robertson of College Station; her brother, Herbert (Ruth) Wilson of Tyler; her grandchildren, Courtney (Jonathan) Kalaher of College Station, Blake (Lisa) Robertson of San Antonio, Kristin (Craig) Dailey and Ashley Daws of League City; and great grandchildren, Keighly Dailey and Caden Robertson.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. John Wright officiating. Burial followed in Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis.
Pallbearers were Alex Daws, Charlie Daws, Ben Daws, Blake Robertson, Jonathan Kalaher, Craig Dailey and Bill Vansickle.
