Santiago Luera Rivera, Jr., 65, passed away Oct. 20, 2011.

Rivera was born in Robstown to Santiago Rivera Sr. and Apolonia Luera Rivera. He had been employed with Bay Ltd. as a driver for 23 years and lived most of his life in Robstown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Consuelo Salazar, Rita Rivera, Maria Cabello and Carmen Rivera; and one daughter, Nancy Rivera.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Anita Rivera, of Robstown; children, Rosalinda Rivera (Jorge) Mortera, Eliud (Mary Ann) Rivera, both of Corpus Christi, Zulema Rivera (Ramiro) Zapata, Eliza Rivera (Rene) Sandoval and Jesse James (Ashley) Rivera, all of Robstown; three brothers, Israel Rivera, Miguel Rivera and Roberto Rivera, all from Robstown; three sisters, Rebecca Garcia of Corpus Christi, Lucia Garcia of Robstown and Enriqueta Luna of Hollis, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A talk was held Oct. 22, 2011 and Oct. 23, 2011 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown. The Funeral Service was conducted Oct. 24, 2011 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.
