Juanita S. Gallegos, 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, with her family by her side.

She was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Michoacan, Mexico to Epitacio and Ramona Reyes Santillan. She was a Catholic and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Marianas, Perpetual Adoration, Prayer Group, Nocturnal Adoration, Evangelization, and of the Rosary Ministry. She was also a lector and eucharistic minister and was also involved in other church activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gamaliel Gallegos; her dauther, Juanita Solis; and her sister, Maria Santillan.

She is survived by three daughters, Anita (Alduino) Elizondo, Velia Vasquez and Maria Elena (Richard) De Los Santos; her sister, Teresa Martinez, all of Robstown; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 12 and 13, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment followed in Robstown Memorial Park.
