Guadalupe "Lupe" Obregon, 84, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007.
She was born Dec. 11, 1922, in Dilley, but had resided in Robstown most of her life. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Obregon; and two sons, Salvador Obregon and Joe John Obregon Sr.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Garcia of Belle Gate, Fla.; five brothers, Ramon R. Lopez of Moses Lake, Wash., Juan Manuel Lopez of Denver, Richard R. Lopez of Robstown, Domingo Silva and Rodolfo Silva, both of San Antonio; one daughter-in-law, Guadalupe Obregon of Mission; five grandchildren, Rodolfo (Liz) Obregon of Lancaster, Joe John (Cindy) Obregon Jr., Pamela (Hugo) Zuniga, Horacio (Nancy) Obregon, all of Mission, and Salvalee Obregon of Kingsville; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Fabian Ramirez officiating. Interment followed in Robstown Cemetery.
