George John Marshall, 57, born February 22, 1951 in Corpus Christi, died due to medical complications on June 21, 2008.
George attended school at St. John Catholic School in Robstown, graduating in 1969. He was a star baseball player/pitcher for St. John's Fighting Eagles, loved the sport of racing cars, and was an avid Astros fan. George worked as a parts manager for D. C. Rachel Ford in Robstown and also for Crosstown Ford in Corpus Christi for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Marshall; and his father, Herman Marshall Sr..
He is survived by two sons, Chad Marshall of San Antonio and Garrett Marshall of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Herman Marshall of Corpus Christi and Terry Marshall of Robstown; and numerous friends and relatives.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown with the Rev. Tom Showalter as celebrant. Burial followed in Robstown Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Jack Lawson, Ronny Nemec, Danny Malek, Michael Rektorik, David Vana and Brian Bartkowiak.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Robstown, Texas, in memory of George Marshall.
