Michael Lee Davis passed away Dec. 4, 2011 after battling a long illness.

Davis was born Jan. 25, 1949 in Holdenville, Okla. to Fred Lee and Edna Mae Davis.

Davisís teenage years and early adult years were spent in Calallen, where he attended and graduated from Calallen High School in 1968.

He was a proud member of Calallen Baptist Church, played in the Calallen Marching Band and was an avid recreational bowler.

In 1978, Davis relocated to Henderson, where he was employed by Texas Utility Company for 25 years of loyal service.

During that time, Davis met and married his wife, Betty, and became the proud father of twin daughters, Amanda and Jennifer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Lee Davis, and brother, David Gene Davis.

He is survived by his mother; sister, Cheryl Davis (David) Stevenson; brother, Chuck (Julie) Davis; two daughters, Mandy Hesse and Jennifer (Nicholas) Green; four grandchildren, Chassity McCoy, Jacklynn McCoy, Elektra Hesse and Hudson Hesse; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Dec. 7, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel in Corpus Christi.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Henderson.
