Albert Jacob Huble of Rock Island died on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 in Rock Island.
He was born in Olmos. He was a truck driver for Butane Gas & Appliance Co. in Robstown for 48 years, a member of the VFW Post 7841 in Robstown, a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 3003, and a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Huble and Lucy Hybner Huble; wife, Filomena Sembera Huble; son, Troy Huble; one sister and one brother.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Strube of Anton; sons, Ronald Huble of Mayfield, N.Y., and Lynn Huble of Carmel, N.Y.; five sisters, two brothers, nine grandchildren and two adopted grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, in the Slavik Funeral Chapel in Edna.
Military graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in LaSalle, with the VFW Post 8446 of Lolita.
Burial will follow in St. Theresa Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the funeral service will be Chris Sembera, Doug Huble, Rodney Sembera, Thomas Strube, Kyle Strube and Gary Strube.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barbara Huble, Thelma Huble and Leonora Huble.
