Mildred Elizabeth Gajdos, 100, died on Nov. 20, 2008, with her family by her side.

Mildred was born on Feb. 1, 1908 in Lytle to L.T. and Eve Spencer, but had been a longtime resident of Robstown. As a young woman, she was employed by Humble Oil Co. in Corpus Christi and, after marrying, she and her husband Louis formed several businesses. Most recently, she retired at the age of 92 from working at the office of Dr. G.L. Gossage.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, L.T. and Eve; her husband, Louis L. Gajdos; and a granddaughter, Nona Marie Gajdos.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Daniels of Bishop; a son, Belo Gajdos of Robstown; two granddaughters, Robin Cain (Charles) of Arlington and Gay Lyn Whitenton (Jon) of Bishop; five great-grandchildren and close friends.

Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, in Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Clif Abshier officiating.
