Marigel "Mari" Nava Cueva, 29, passed away on March 25, 2010 with her husband and parents by her side after a courageous fight with cystic fibrosis.

Mari was a 1999 graduate of Gregory Portland High School.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Concepcion Garza Bell; and maternal grandmother, Elma Hiers Torres.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Cueva; Gabriella "Bella" Cueva; her parents, Felipe and Magdalena Nava; her siblings, Felipe (Mary) Nava III, Maddalena (Kevin) Robertson, and Laara-Ali (Craig Lunceford) Nava; niece, Emma Louise Nava; her in-laws, Rogelio Cueva Jr. and Isabel Cueva; brother-in-law, Benjamin Cueva; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at the Seaside Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment followed at Seaside Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Phil Nava III, Benjamin Cueva, Craig Lunceford, Kevin Robertson, Lupe Villarreal and Andy Martinez.
