Margaret Elizabeth "Margie" Hoelscher, 75, died on May 25, 2009 at her home surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi. She recently retired from the Nueces Ag Extension Office after 27 years of service. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet. In her spare time, she loved to cook for her children and grandchildren, as well as many other friends and co-workers. If you did not find her in the kitchen, you most likely would find her at the domino table or the local gyms, football fields and baseball fields supporting her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ludwig and Minnie Sablatura; and her son, Randolph Francis Hoelscher.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Francis Ervin Hoelscher; her sons, Bruce (Penny), Keith (Linda), Aaron (Michele), Leslie and Scott; and her daughters, Jeanne (David) Olney, Sandra Cleveland, and Gail (Jimmy) Masur; 27 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Evelyn Martini; and her brother, Mark Sablatura.

A Rosary was recited at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet on Friday, May 29, at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet on Saturday, May 30, at 10 a.m. with interment immediately following at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Violet.
