Hortencia Garcia Castro, 61, went to be at peace on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. She was born in Robstown, Texas on April 09, 1951 to Rafael and Trinidad Valerio Garcia. She was a Pre-Kindergarten teacher for 36 years at Robstown ISD, A.T.P.E. local and region officer for at least 20 years, and was also a member of El Vetrano Organization with Linda Escobar. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
She goes home to reunite with her parents, one brother, Joe Garcia, and one sister, Juana Lopez who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 37 years of marriage, Armando Castro, Sr.; three children, Arnulfo (Jessica) Castro, Armando (Sonia) Castro Jr., Candido (Renata) Castro; three sisters, Lydia (Joe) Robles, Sylvia (Santos) Cardenas, Elma Tamez, and one brother, Ramiro Garcia. She was also blessed and adored by her three grandchildren, Arnulfo Castro Jr., Nathan Castro, and Alyson Leigh Castro, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends who loved her unconditionally.
A Prayer service was held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Service was conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
Pallbearers were Arnulfo Castro, David Carrion Jr., Juan Jose Castro, Chris Castro, David Robles, Mark Tamez, Ricky Cardenas, and Jonathan De Leon.
My wife Tencha I will miss her forever, she was my love, my wife, my friend, the mother of our three sons and grandmother of our three grandchildren, whom we will love forever, Amen.
