Eloisa “Locha” Garcia Suniga, born on May 1, 1936 to Salvador and Paula Deleon Garcia, passed away on June 27, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Florentino Suniga; her parents; three brothers, Fidencio, Gilberto and Salvador Jr.; and one sister, Julia Sandoval.

She is survived by her daughter, Patty Moseley (Richard Pinder), of Robstown; one grandson, John (Joann) Aldaco, of Bishop; one granddaughter Jillian (Jorge Morales) Aldaco, of Robstown; two great granddaughters, Bethany and Zoey, of Bishop; three brothers, Arturo Garcia of Robstown, Ernesto (Francis) Garcia of Florida, and Miguel (Mable) Garcia of Taft; her baby sister, Mary Esther (Henry) Martinez, of Corpus Christi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eloisa worked at Crain’s Café for 12 years, where she met her husband, Florentino.

She was involved with the Nueces County elections, during which she served as an election judge and Precinct 37 chair for several years. When she was not involved with that, she babysat for friends and spent time with her family.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 02, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown.

Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.
