Minnie R. Betancourt, 75, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008.

She was born on April 30, 1933 in Robstown to Guadalupe and Antonia Musquiz Ramon. She resided in Alice, Corpus Christi, Houston, Stafford and Robstown in the later years of her life. She was a Catholic and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Baldemar Betancourt.

Survivors are her husband of 53 years, Manuel Betancourt of Robstown; her children, Benito Betancourt of Robstown, Belinda (Hector) Nava, Beatrice (David) Judge, Bernadette Betancourt and Benjamin Betancourt, all of Denver, Colo., and Bernardo Betancourt of Houston; two brothers, Jimmy Ramon and Matias (Jovita) Ramon, both of Corpus Christi; five sisters, Anita (the late Jesus) Escareno, Lupita Verdin, both of Robstown, Bertha (Benny) Martinez, Mary Clark, both of Corpus Christi, and Angelita Perez of Calallen; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, in the Ramon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
