Robert "Bob" Litchfield, 71, passed away December 20, 2009 unexpectedly. He was born July 6, 1938 in Ellicott City, Maryland. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1955 and was stationed at Randolph Air Force Base. After leaving the military, he relocated to Corpus Christi where he went to work for Armstrong Lumber and eventually bought the company in 1982. Bob had many friends in the construction industry and played a key role in the development of Corpus Christi over the last few decades. Bob loved his family, being outdoors at his ranch, collecting old cars, NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patsy Litchfield; two daughters, Vicki (Eddie) Taylor and Reanell (Brian) Armstrong; three grandchildren, Jimmy, Trista and Kristin; three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kaleigh and Jaymie.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with John Sisk officiating. Burial followed.
