Betty Sue Power Hendricks, 78, of Corpus Christi died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008.

She was born April 27, 1930 in Abilene to Herbert and Mary Esther Periman Bell. Betty Sue was a homemaker, bookkeeper and a member of Arlington Heights Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James William Power.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Power of San Antonio, and Bonnie DeSpain of Freer; sons, James William (Rebecca) Power II of Odem, Herbert (Kathryn) Power of Corpus Christi, and Dudley Power of Robstown; sister, Mary Nell Linscomb of Harrison, Idaho; 10 grandchildren, Bill and Aaron DeSpain, Tanner, Cori, Nicholas, Kaley, Allison, Ross, Max and Cami Power; three great-grandchildren, Trevor Power, Isabella and Headley DeSpain; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.
