Robert L. "Bob" Parker, 85, of Odem died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007 at his home.
He was born April 20, 1922, in Odem to Robert N. Parker Sr. and Mabel Francis Moore Parker.
He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II where he was a member of a flight crew flying over the China-Burma-India theatre. He was a farmer, a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Odem, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 43 years, Doris Pressey Parker; and his first granddaughter, Jennifer Rebecca Parker.
He is survived by three sons, Bob (Harriet) Parker of Calallen, Jack (Linda) Parker of Cypress, and Sam (Jamie) Parker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five granddaughters, Amanda (Jerry) Gray, Jill (Chris) Florence, Sunny (Jeff) Hepting, Jessica (Justin) Kurz and Hannah Parker; and four great grandchildren, Parker and Madelyn Florence and Sam and Kate Hepting.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Conner officiating.
Burial followed in Bethel Cemetery in Odem.
