O. A. "Allen" Pulliam Jr., 50, passed away on Nov. 26, 2009 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Allen was born in Electra in 1959 and grew up in Perryton, where he graduated from Perryton High School in 1978. For the past 13 years he was a resident of Corpus Christi, where he worked in oilfield and industrial sales. He was employed by Halliburton for 18 years and most recently by McJunkin-Redman.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Kathleen Pulliam of Abilene; and his father-in-law, John Gwyn Sr. of San Antonio.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carol Gwyn Pulliam; his son, Taylor Pulliam of Henderson, Nev., and their daughter Alison Pulliam of Corpus Christi; his mother, Caroline Pulliam of Perryton; his father, O. A. (Slick) Pulliam Sr. of Abilene; and three sisters Sherrel Barber, Denise Morrow and Tammy Flaming, all of Perryton.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Burial was in Perryton at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3.
