Robert Louis Kelley, 56, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Md., after a courageous 15-month battle with Leukemia.

He was born Oct. 23, 1951 in Sinton. He was the son of Edward and Georgie Kelley of Robstown. He was a 1970 graduate of Calallen High School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 24 years, and earned a master's degree in computer science. He was employed by the Department of Defense.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda; five daughters; one son; three grandchildren; three sisters, Jo Ann (Randy) Darden of San Antonio, Susan (Bill) Brubaker of Kingsville, and Barbara (Phil) Belcher of McAllen; and one brother, Chuck Kelley (Kela) of George West.

Memorial services with military honors were held Friday, Aug. 29, at Panebaker Funeral Home in Hanover, Pa.
