Nueces Electric Cooperative Youth Leadership Tour and Ramiro De La Paz Scholarship contestants had a record-breaking number of entries with 25 essays being submitted, according to a press release.

Graduation is not only an exciting time for students but also for their families and friends. Collegiate High School and Harold T. Branch Academy seniors will receive their high school diplomas from the Corpus Christi Independent School District during graduation ceremonies scheduled Saturday, May 23, in Del Mar College’s Richardson Performance Hall.

The Center for Sportfish Science and Conservation (CSSC) at the Harte Research Institute (HRI) for Gulf of Mexico Studies at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi has been awarded a federal Fisheries Innovation Grant totaling $209,326 to study pressure-related injuries often suffered by Red Snapper during catch and release fishing.

The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department will begin registration May 18, 2015 for its Summer 2015 High School Volleyball League. This league is team concept (Varsity Division)—2015 graduate seniors are not eligible to participate in this league.

Banquete Senior Awarded Scholarship

BANQUETE - High School student MaKenzie Wright of Robstown is receiving a $1,500 scholarship from America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. Wright was recognized as a Grow Ag Leaders scholarship recipient and a check was presented to her by a Representative of Monsanto.
