It was supposed to be a game of the best teams in District 30-5A.

Instead the North Zone match-up between Calallen and Corpus Christi Ray turned into a display of the Wildcats’ dominance.

Calallen claimed first place in the North Zone with a convincing 34-6 blowout win against the Texans.

The Wildcats reverted to their Wing-T offense and simply ate up yardage and the clock. They put together scoring drives of 62, 70, 80 and 73 yards.

The were just as impressive defensively where they had yet another outing in which they held the opposition to seven or less points.

Alec Brown led Calallen with 21 carries for 137 yards. Zach Hawkins had seven carries for 76 yards.
