CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Second year head coach Blake Miller has unveiled the 54-game slate Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will face in 2018, including eight matchups against NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago.
The Islanders will play 19 home games on Chapman Field in 2018 featuring Southland Conference series against Southeastern Louisiana, Abilene Christian, Sam Houston State and Nicholls.
Corpus Christi opens the season with 10 games away from home as the Blue and Green head to the UTSA Invitational and Lion Classic over the first two weeks. The season opener comes February 9th as the Islanders challenge Seton Hall in San Antonio. Corpus Christi will also face Abilene Christian, UTSA and 2017 NCAA Tournament participant Southern Illinois on opening weekend.

A major highlight on the schedule comes on February 28 as the Islanders travel to Austin to face national power Texas in a midweek clash. The following weekend features a return to tournament action with matchups against Belmont, Detroit and Nebraska-Omaha at Southeastern Louisiana's Lion Classic.
Corpus Christi's home opener sees the Islanders take on Prairie View in a doubleheader on February 21st. The twin bill kicks off a stretch of seven straight home games, capped by a bout with another NCAA Tournament team in Texas Southern.
Other stops on the 2018 slate include a trip to Houston where the Islanders will face the Cougars twice in tournament play. Corpus Christi is scheduled for league series at Stephen F. Austin, Northwestern State, McNeese and Houston Baptist.
