The Stephenville Honeybees recorded a straight-set non-district volleyball victory at China Spring Friday night, 25-12, 25-19, 25-22.

The win, the third in a row for the Honeybees improved their season record to 18-16.

The Honeybees came from behind in the second set before prevailing in a tight third set.

Hannah Huckabee topped the squad in assists, with 16, and teammate Karlee Easterling had 14.

Gabie Lucero led the Honeybees in digs with 22. Emily Stroebel had 13 while Huckabee and Jayci Morton added 10 each.

Morton had a team-high nine kills, while Chloe Goodman and Callan Gibbons had seven and six, respectively.

Jaydi Griffin was the team leader in blocks with four. Goodman and Alee McClendon contributed three each.

Stephenville also won the junior varsity matchup at China Spring, 26-24, 25-11, and took the freshman match, 25-8, 25-18.

Tuesday night the Honeybees were playing at home in Gandy Gym against Waco Robinson. Graham will be coming to town Friday for the Honeybees’ next contest, with the varsity set for a 5 p.m. start.
