Following the game, Banquete head coach Kevin Hermes said his team would move on from the tough loss to prepare for the first round of the playoffs.
"Refugio is very explosive, and they lived up to their No. 1 ranking," Hermes said. "Our kids played hard and didn't give up. We were simply out-matched by the Bobcats. We are still in the playoffs and must go back to work this week getting ready for the Boling Bulldogs. They have an 8-2 record and are also a 'big-play' team."
Banquete finished the regular season with a 6-4 record.
Banquete will play Boling this Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Goliad.
