The Wildcats led 21-0 at the half, and then stepped on the gas, scoring 22 more points in the third quarter. Nick Ginn scored two touchdowns on 38-yard and 49-yard receptions, and returned a fumble 27 yards for a third TD. Tanner Sparks completed the only two passes he attempted on the night, for a total of 79 yards, and both for touchdowns. Preston Dorsey came on in relief and completed 6 of 11 passes, for 95 yards and a touchdown. Calallen will play its homecoming game Friday night against Tuloso-Midway.
The Badgers had a much-needed bye week last week, but will return to action this Friday against Falfurrias. The Jersey Bulls are coming off a 49-7 loss on the road against John Paul II and are 0-5 for the season.
