The Tuloso-Midway Warriors lost their third game of the season to the Port Lavaca-Calhoun Sandcrabs, 62-6, Friday night.
The Sandcrabs jumped on the Warriors early, scoring 30 points in the first quarter. In that quarter, Port Lavaca-Calhoun was able to get on the board in multiple ways — with a safety, a kick-return and an interception return for a touchdown.
Warrior quarterback Jonathan Iglesias gave the team its only score on a quarterback sneak in the final quarter. He finished the night with 156 yards passing and 40 yards rushing. Aaron Vidal pitched in another 91 yards on the ground.
The Warriors were plagued turnovers, fumbling the ball three times and throwing two interceptions.
Known for their heavy running style, the Sandcrabs piled up 319 yards on the ground. Quarterback Joseph Bargas led the way with 101 yards rushing and a touchdown. Brandon Griffith pounded in two more scores on the ground.
T-M will have a bye next week. They will host the Miller Buccaneers in two weeks.
