Local high schools Robstown, Tuloso-Midway and Calallen competed in their respective district cross country meets this weekend. The boys and girls teams from each school finished no lower than third place in each meet, with the Calallen girls and Robstown boys each taking home a district title. Tuloso-Midway girls and boys teams each finished second in 31-4A and the Calallen boys finished third. The Robstown girls finished second in 31-3A.

Robstown's Eric Torres won the 31-3A boys district championship with a time of 15:52.36, while Calallen's Shelby Pesek won the 31-4A girls title with a time of 11:19.92.

Other top performers were Tuloso-Midway's Destry Quiroz (16:13.48) and Calallen's Nic Rios (16:32.45) who finished third and fifth in 31-4A boys. Tuloso Midway's Kasey Alphin (12:03.1) placed fourth in 31-4A girls and Robstown's Tara Flores (14:01.27) finished fifth in 31-3A girls.
