The Orange Grove Bulldogs managed to do what no other team had been able to do against Banquete's defense - score.

Against a defense that hadn't given up a single point in three games, Orange Grove scored, and scored again.

Unfortunately for Orange Grove, the touchdowns came after Banquete had already jumped out to a 28-0 lead.

Orange Grove's rally was too little, too late, and Banquete went on to win, 28-20. The Bulldogs from Banquete were prolific in the first quarter. They scored all four of their touchdowns in the first quarter and led 28-0 going into the second.

Banquete used strong running by running back Roger Garcia. He stunned Orange Grove's defense on the first play of the game by returning the opening kickoff 78 yards for a score.

Later in the quarter, he scored on runs of 44, 15 and 31 yards. Garcia finished the game with 23 carries for 165 yards.

Orange Grove (1-2) came to life in the second after a Banquete fumble in their own end zone which Ramiro Aranda picked up for a touchdown.

Cody Gomez scored on a one-yard run in the third and Orange Grove scored against in the fourth on a four-yard run by Trey Porras. For all the offense Banquete (4-0) displayed early in the game, it was the Bulldogs from Orange Grove who finished with more total yards.

Orange Grove had 254 yards to Banquete's 174.
