The Banquete Bulldogs saw their loss to Orange Grove last week as a wake up call as they won their second straight game against the Woodsboro Eagles, 55-6.
The Bulldogs put out 403 total yards on offense, all accounted on rushing alone.
Banquete came up big in the first quarter scoring 20 points.
The Bulldogs' Mikey Gonzalez was the top rusher in the game with 104 yards and two touchdowns on his only carries in the game.
Gonzalez scored the first touchdown from 45 yards away giving Banquete the early 7-0 lead.
Woodsboro scored the next touchdown in the game as Don Lewis drove it in from one yard away. It would be the closest the Eagles would come to Banquete with the score, 7-6.
Gonzalez scored his second touchdown in the first quarter with another impressive run from 59 yards away. The Bulldogs took control with a 14-6 lead.
Banquete running back Steven Karabanoff also found the end zone multiple times, rushing for 61 yards on eight carries with two touchdowns. His first trip to the end zone came late in the first quarter on a 9-yard run, extending the Bulldogs lead to 20-6 at the end of the first quarter.
The Bulldogs were far from done on offense as Jacob Harris also had a solid running performance, going 90 yards on six carries with three touchdowns.
Harris scored his first two touchdowns in the second quarter. His first was a 13-yard run and his second was another Banquete touchdown from more than 50 yards away as he found the end zone with a 51-yard run.
The Bulldogs were up big, 34-6.
Karabanoff scored his second touchdown later in the second quarter from 14 yards away.
Heading into halftime, it was all but over for the Eagles as Banquete led 41-6.
Two more touchdowns from Harris and Gabriel Serna sealed it for the Bulldogs and ended a long night for the Eagles.
With the win, Banquete is 2-1 as they head home to face the Ben Bolt Badgers Friday at 7:30 p.m.
It's their final non-district game of the season before the team takes a week off to prepare for District 32-2A action.
The Bulldogs first district game will be against the Bishop Badgers on the road Oct. 5.
