The Cotton Pickers were handed their first district loss Friday by the Raymondville Bearkats. The Cotton Pickers struck early when Randy Flores hit Joshua Gaona on a four-yard pass in the first quarter. The Bearkats responded with 17 unanswered points over the next three quarters, including a 65-yard touchdown run by Skylore Janes. Flores rushed for a Robstown touchdown in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit. The Bearkats remain undefeated in district play, while the Cotton Pickers fall to 3-1. Robstown will finish out the regular season at home Friday against Lyford, which has a 1-3 record in district play.

Tuloso-Midway 29

W.B. Ray 62

The Warriors outscored the Buccaneers 22-21 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome an early deficit. Ray took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, and Tuloso-Midway responded with a 9-yard touchdown run by Kenneth Smith to open the second quarter. Ray responded with an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by David Black, and then scored on four passing touchdowns over the second and third quarter. The Warriors, who are 1-4 in district play, will close out the season Friday against the Flour Bluff Hornets.

Woodsboro 48

Agua Dulce 20

The Longhorns' woes continued at home Friday, as they lost to the Woodsboro Eagles. Agua Dulce is now 1-4 in district play, and has been outscored 304-106 in eight games this season. Agua Dulce will finish out its season on the road against Pettus Friday. Pettus is 4-1 in district play, and is coming off of a 45-6 win against Benavides.

Bishop 6

Santa Rosa 39

The Badgers were handed a tough loss on the road Friday against the Santa Rosa Warriors. It was the third consecutive win for Santa Rosa, and the third consecutive loss for Bishop. The Badgers have now been outscored 385-116 in their 9 games this season. The Badgers will finish out the 2010 season at home Friday against the Odem Owls. Odem is 1-3 in district play, and is coming off of a 0-37 loss to Taft.
