SAN ANGELO - It's official. The Corpus Christi Hammerheads are on a win-streak.

Corpus Christi beat the San Angelo Stampede Express, 55-23, Saturday night in San Angelo to improve its record to 5-6. The victory, the team's third in a row, also sets up a showdown against the 6-5 Abilene Ruff Riders Saturday in the Central Pavilion Arena in Robstown.

Cory Miles led the Hammerheads against San Angelo by completing 13 of 22 passes for 190 yards and five touchdowns.

Miles finished the game with no interceptions. Running back Redford Borel also rushed for two touchdowns.

Toric Goins led the team in receiving with four catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns. Austin Willis had five catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, defensive back Wali Mumin had two interceptions.
