The Crude City Roller Derby's Third Coast Offenders will be hosting their fourth home game of the season Saturday at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds.
The team will be facing off against the Houston Roller Derby's The Knockouts in Exhibit Hall A. It will be the Offenders' first bout at the fairgrounds since April 10, when they soundly defeated the Route 66 Rollergirls, from Amarillo, by a score of 243-77.
The Offenders are coming off a tough loss in Houston after dropping a May 15 match to the Bayou City Bosses, 135-65.
"We are ready to go," said Offenders' jammer Zee Kelly, who skates under the name Lit Miss Psychlone. "We've been training hard and we're anxious to get out there."
Kelly said the team has a number of new faces on the squad this year, but added they are progressing well from bout to bout.
Doors for Saturday's match open at 6 p.m., with the bout scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $8 general admission and $5 for active military. Children under four-feet tall get in free.
All future matches will take place in the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds' Exhibit Hall A.
