While it appeared the game was over and done, the Tuloso-Midway Warriors returned a Miller Buccaneer fumble 58 yard for a touchdown. But the ensuing onside kick would roll out of bounds, giving Miller the 28-20 win. The Warriors continue to search for their first win, falling to an 0-4 record on the year.

The Warrior defense played strong, but were unable to stop big plays. All four Miller touchdowns came on plays greater than 20 yards.

The Warrior offense had to produce without senior quarterback, Jonathan Iglesias, who left the game with a shoulder injury. The loss didn't appear to slow them down, taking an early 13-7 lead after Tyler Smith scored on a 42-yard run.

But the Bucs would change things in the second half, returning the opening kickoff 99 yards to reclaim the lead, 14-13. The Bucs extended the lead late in the fourth quarter on a 70 yard quarterback draw from Julian Firo.

The game was the last non-district contest for T-M. Next week they will travel to take on the Alice Coyotes, who defeated Moody 36-7.

"It's going to be tough," Coach Jose Sendejar. "(Alice) has all that tradition. But we don't care. All the games we've played don't count. They start counting next week."
