The Calallen girls basketball team fell to an 0-2 district record, losing to the Ray Lady Texans, 56-37.
The Lady 'Cats had control early in the game with a 15-10 after the first quarter, and 23-16 lead at halftime.
But the Lady Texans exploded, with a 20-point third quarter, giving them a 36-29 lead heading into the final period.
Calallen's Jackie Treat led the team in points with 12. Shelby Pesek and Kristine Cramer contributed eight points each. Cramer was able to hit two shots from three-point range.
The loss moves the Lady 'Cats to a 7-8 overall record.
Calallen returned to action on Monday when they played John Paul II. Results for that game were not available as of press time. The girls will return to action when they play in a tournament at West Oso. Games will take place Dec. 27 to 29.
