The Boling Bulldogs struck quickly and then upended the Banquete Bulldogs, 49-7, Friday night in Goliad.

Banquete's only score came on a 60-yard pass from Ben Benavides to Jacob Gonzalez.

Banquete finished its season as a Bi-District finalist with a 6-5 record.

Following the game, Banquete Coach Kevin Hermes praised his team for putting in the work required to reach the playoffs.

"We had a good season and accomplished our playoffs goal," Hermes said. "We have a young team and I would like to congratulate our seniors on their hard work during the season. Thanks also to the many fans who followed us throughout the season."
