The Robstown Cotton Pickers made short work Saturday of the Somerset Bulldogs during Game Two of the Regional Semifinals matchup in San Antonio, with the game being called in the fifth inning.

Mike Velasquez led the way for the ‘Pickers, going a perfect 3-3 at the plate with four RBIs. He was also credited as the winning pitcher, throwing a shutout through the first three innings as Robstown worked its way to a 13-1 victory over Somerset.

The game was stopped in the fifth inning due to the 10-run rule.

Robstown won Game 1 on Friday, 7-1.

The ‘Pickers will face the winner of Salado and Columbia in the Region IV-3A Final. Dates and times for that matchup have yet to be determined.
