On Dec. 19, the Tuloso-Midway boys basketball team traveled to Port Lavaca to play the Sandcrabs in a non-district game. The Warriors were unable to match the Sandcrabs offensive fire power, losing the contest, 71-32.

Port Lavaca's Dylon Saenz and Issac Cardona were able to outscore the entire Warrior team, with Saenz scoring 22 and Cardona chipping in 17. Tuloso-Midway's Jeremy Brittain and Anthony Trevino each had nine points in the game, with all of Trevino's coming off of three-point shots. Josh Oritiz added four points in the loss.

Over the holiday break, the Warriors competed in a regular season tournament at Sinton High School. Results for the tournament were not available as of press time. The Warriors will return to district play on Tuesday Jan. 3 when they host the Alice Coyotes. Tipoff will be at 8 p.m.
