The Tuloso-Midway High School men's swim team successfully defended their District 41-4A title Saturday at the CCISD Natatorium as they narrowly edged Flour Bluff by two points, 145-143.

Calallen High School finished in third place with 95 points.

The top six in each event will move on to the Region VIII-4A meet, which will also take place at the CCISD Natatorium on Feb. 12-13.

T-M took first place in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:47.39, while Calallen finished in second with 1:48.95.

In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Calallen took second with 1:36.58. T-M received fourth with a time of 1:40.26.

T-M also received second place in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:35.39. Calallen finished in fourth with 3:57.08.

In the 200-yard freestyle, T-M's David Dawod placed first with a time of 1:56.24. Dawod also took second in the 500-yard freestyle with 5:25.22.

Kevin Crisp took third place in both the 200 and 500 with 2:04.59 and 5:43.13.

In the 200-yard individual medley, T-M's Patrick O'Connell finished in first with 2:13.14. Calallen's Sean Ponce received second place with 2:14.51.

Matthew Dixon of T-M took fifth with 2:26.35. Dixon also finished in fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a 58.24 time.

In 50-yard freestyle, Calallen's Wesley McCoy took first place with a time of 21.85. McCoy also received first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.13. T-M's Ryan Wilcox finished in second place with 22.66.

In the 100-yard butterfly, T-M's Alec Calk placed second with 105.85. Anthony LaMantia of Calallen finished in fourth with 106.86.

In the 100-yard backstroke, Wilcox placed first with a time of 54.37. Ponce took second with 1:02.22 and Calallen's Preston McNabb finished in fourth place with 1:07.45. Calk received fifth place with 1:09.64.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, O'Connell finished in second with 1:05.57.

T-M's Kody Kahla took fourth place with 1:10.95 and Calallen's Gerad Floyd received sixth with a 1:15.05 time.

T-M's James O'Neill had a first-place finish in 1-meter diving with a final score of 195.95.

On the women's side, T-M finished in second place behind Flour Bluff with 140 points. Calallen took third with 76 points.

T-M took first in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:02.87. Calallen received third place with 2:13.62.

In the 200-yard freestyle relay, T-M finished in second with 1:50.79. Calallen took third with 1:57.92.

T-M also received second place in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:33.76.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Calallen's Kaley Swallow finished in fourth place with a time of 2:26.48.

Alexandria Baldwin and Annarae Winters of T-M finished in fifth and sixth place respectively with times of 2:26.93 and 2:28.55.

In the 200-yard individual medley, T-M's Caitlin Castaneda took first place with 2:25.34. Markie

Alaniz, also of T-M, received fourth place with 2:34.44 and Haily Wilson of T-M took fifth with 2:49.78.

In the 50-yard freestyle, T-M's Liz Vega received second place with a time of 26.69.

Calallen's Betsy Riojas finished in fourth with 29.81.

Casteneda finished in first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:05.41.

Alaniz took third with 1:09.92 and Wilson received fifth with 1:14.00.

Riojas took sixth place with 1:15.98.

Calallen's Katharina Brands took first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a 57.20 time.

T-M's Chelsey Koenning finished in third with 1:02.25. Amely Cardenas and Swallow, both of Calallen, took fifth and sixth place respectively with times of 1:04.40 and 1:06.11.

In the 500-yard freestyle, T-M's Jessi Winters finished in third with 6:20.83. .

Ashlee Grey and Mikaylee Polk, both of T-M, place fifth and sixth. Grey's time was 6:36.78 and Polk had 7:28.27.

Winters also took sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke with 1:28.89

In the 100-yard backstroke, Brands took first place with 1:05.16, while Vega finished in second with 1:06.20.

Koenning had a third-place finish with 1:09.37 and Baldwin took sixth with 1:16.15.

In 1-meter diving, Calallen's Kelsey Silva took first place with a final score of 346.70.
