A 42-year-old Woodsboro man was killed last week, when the car he was driving was struck by a train just south of Robstown.
According to Robstown Police Department reports, the accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on May 14, at County Road 34 and Highway 77. Reports indicate a white 1998 BMW driven by Kenneth Cobb, 42, of Woodsboro, was traveling eastbound on County Road 34 when he failed to yield for a northbound train.
Cobb's vehicle was struck on the passenger side and was thrown into a nearby field.
Cobb was transported by ambulance to CHRISTUS Spohn Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi. He passed away later that evening, Sgt. Albert Stout, with the Robstown Police Department said Monday.
