AUSTIN, Texas — Jimmy Dodson of Robstown and Lester Little of Hallettsville recently were re-elected to three-year terms on the Farm Credit Bank of Texas Board of Directors. Both board members’ terms will expire on Dec. 31, 2014.
Dodson was first elected to the board in 2003, and was elected vice chairman in January 2009. He grows primarily cotton and milo in a large family farming operation and operates a seed sales business.
In addition, Dodson serves on the boards of the National Cotton Council of America, Gulf Coast Cooperative, and the South Texas Cotton and Grain Association, and is chairman of the American Cotton Producers. He formerly served on the board of Cotton Incorporated and is former chairman of the Cotton Foundation.
Little joined the board of directors in January 2009. He owns and operates a farm that is headquartered in Lavaca County, Texas, with operations in Jackson, Harris, Fort Bend and Brazoria counties. His principal crops are corn, milo, hay and wheat. He also offers custom-farming services.
