David Hinojosa Rios, 55, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 20, 2012. He was born in Robstown, Texas on January 21, 1957 to Hilario and Modesta Hinojosa Rios. He was an extremely hard worker. He was employed with Lanphiar construction for several years and Ram-Bro Contracting before becoming the owner and operator of his own Trucking Company in 1984. David had a huge heart and was a very generous man; he donated to charities and people in need whenever he could. He had many hobbies, he loved fishing, hunting, arts & crafts, and especially gambling, but most of all he loved his family. His family meant everything to him. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
He goes home to reunite with his father, Hilario Rios Sr. and one brother, Hilario Rios Jr. who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years of marriage, Sandra Martinez of Robstown, Texas; six children, David (Larissa) Rios, Jr. of Martha Oklahoma, Denise Rios, Eric Martinez, Darrell Lee Rios, Celeste Diane Rios, Kimberly Candice Rios all of Robstown, Texas; his mother, Modesta (Elias Sanchez) Hinojosa of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers, Reynaldo (Aida) Rios and Arturo (Margo) Rios both of Robstown, Texas; five sisters, Mary Lou (Ruben) Flores, Leticia (Ricardo) Ramon both of Calallen, Texas, Hilda Ann (Juan) Ornelas of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rosario Rios of Robstown, Texas, and Martha (Bill) Quinn of Houston, Texas. He was also blessed with four grandchildren, David Robert Rios, Delmarco Rios, Derek Rios, and Lissette Rios all of Robstown, Texas. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends who loved him deeply.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
