Agua Dulce took an early lead and made it stand in a 20-18 victory over Pettus on Friday. The Longhorns are 3-2 overall heading into next week’s District 16-A Division II opener ahainst La Pryor.
Agua Dulce finished with 436 total yards, 315 rushing and 121 passing. Alex Jiminian carried 28 times for 201 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown run in the second quarter that gave the Longhorns a 14-6 edge at halftime.
Quarterback Dakota Deaver went 7 of 14 for 121 yards and two touchdowns, the first a 3-yard strike to Chris Charles. Deaver also connected with Trey Mann on a 24-yard scoring reception.
