Calallen Education Foundation members and school district supporters held a Casino Night fundraiser Saturday night in support of grant opportunities for Calallen ISD teachers.

The event was five hours of food, friendly gambling and commradrie. The Richard Borchard Regional Fairgrounds was transformed into a casino venue, with food provided by Sam's Barbecue and a silent auction to raise additional funds for the foundation.

Through their efforts last year, foundation members were able to raise $20,000 worth of grants that were distributed to CISD teachers. Those funds went directly to technology and programs for the classrooms, in an effort to continue using cutting edge methods with the latest technology, to educate Calallen's students, according to organizers.
