The Coastal Bend Community Foundation has awarded a $4,000 grant to the Tuloso-Midway ISD Education Foundation for innovative classroom instructional programs.
“We very much appreciate the generosity of the Coastal Bend Community Foundation. Our students and teachers benefit through their continued commitment to enhancing education,” said Margaret DeVille, TMISD Education Foundation president.
Since it's creation in 2004, the TMISD Education Foundation has awarded more than $312,000 in teaching grants to TMISD teachers enabling more challenging and innovative instruction for students.
“Support from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation and other businesses, industries and individuals in our community is making a difference in the education of our young people,” said Sharon Trott, foundation executive director.
The Coastal Bend Community Foundation was incorporated in 1981 with the mission of enhancing and improving the quality of life in the seven counties of the Coastal Bend. The foundation serves donors by providing a vehicle for the establishment of various types of charitable funds designed to fulfill their wishes. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $65 million from donor contributions and revenues to scholarships to students and grants to nonprofit organizations.
