Mayor Rodrigo Ramon, Jr. reports that “finalization in the negotiations of an incentive package outlined in the terms of an Economic Development Agreement have been completed and we can move forward to the next phase to bring the Outlet Mall project into Robstown, Texas”.
The City of Robstown announces a joint Press Conference for the signing ceremony of all the partners participating in the Agreement that will generate many new jobs and stimulate capital investments in the area at 10:30 a.m. at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, Meeting Rm A&B, 1213 Terry Shamsie Blvd., Robstown, Texas.
The participating partners include the City of Robstown, the Robstown Improvement Development Corporation, the Nueces County Drainage District No. 2, the Crossroads Local Government Corporation, and Lockard Outlets Corpus Christi Bay, LLC as Assignee of Dolphin Ventures I, LLC. The Robstown Utility Systems supports the venture and will be providing assistance through the cooperation of the departments as needed.
With the prime highway location in the City of Robstown; the Developer has committed to construct the first phase of the retail outlet shopping center, which is expected to contain approximately 315,000 square feet with multiple buildings to be occupied by approximately 75 retail tenants for Phase-1 and has the option to continue with a Phase-2 for an additional 150,000 square feet of construction. The Outlets will serve a strong residential market and a popular tourist center.
The City of Robstown looks forward to the spawning of new development and business outlook surrounding the Outlet Mall area as a result of the retail center.
