Ismael Soliz Flores, 63, was taken home by Jesus Christ and his band of angels on Sunday, January 13, 2013. Ismael was born on October 11, 1949 to Guadalupe and Maria Soliz Flores in Mission, Texas. Ismael resided in Robstown and was a carpenter all of his life. He was a loving companion, father, brother, son, uncle, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Cyndi (Tony) Moreno of Bishop, Texas; his life long companion, Eluteria D. “Lucy” Salazar of Bishop, Texas; his mother, Maria S. Flores of Robstown, Texas; three brothers, Guillermo “Willie” (Rosalinda) Flores of Robstown, Texas, Israel (Lupita) Flores of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gilbert (Bertha) Flores of Banquete, Texas; three sisters, Idolina F. (Stephen) Rodriguez of Houston, Texas, Isabel (Santiago) Herrera of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Armandina (Roy) Cardenas of Sinton, Texas. He was also blessed with two grandchildren, A.C. Moreno, Julian Moreno both of Bishop, Texas and many other relatives and friends who loved him unconditionally.

A Rosary was recited at 7pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 1pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
