The “CATCH ME IF YOU CAN” Calallen Middle School 5KRun/Walk will take place April 13 at 7:30 a.m. at the school. All proceeds will benefit the ARK of Corpus Christi.
The organizers plan to make this an annual event. The run/walk has an entry fee of $25 at this time, with the fee increasing to $30 asfter April 1. There will be no refunds for the fee, ran or shine, according to event organizaers.
The Calallen Middle School NJHS/STUDENT COUNCIL students also sent letters out to local businesses and is still looking for supporters for the event.
According to the letter, the purpose of the run is to promote the CATCH program. CATCH is a coordinated school health program which builds an alliance of parents, teachers, child nutrition personnel, school staff, and community partners to teach children and their families how to be healthy for a lifetime. All proceeds from the race will go to The ARK, Assessment Center and Emergency Shelter for Youth, located in Calallen.
The minimum sponsorship is $200. The benefits of being a sponsor are: your logo on the back of the shirt, your company’s name advertised on the radio, on several running websites, social media, and a digital banner that will be displayed at the finish line. Also, you have the opportunity to advertise by putting your company’s name on products in the runner’s goodie bag.
Sponsors are encouraged to come set up a tent on the Calallen Middle School football field from the hours of 7 am-9 am and hand out replenishing snacks and drinks for our runners/walkers. The sponsor money will be used to pay for race expenses and any money left over will be given to The Ark.
The sponsor deadline is April 1. Make checks payable to Calallen Middle School and email your company logo to email@example.com.
