Juan Antonio Espinosa, 63, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 13, 2013. He was born on January 31, 1950 to Tony “Antonio” Espinoza and Crisanta Bustamante Espinoza in Robstown, Texas.

Tony lived a full life and fulfilled many of his dreams. He owned and operated several businesses throughout his lifetime, was a former Conjunto musician (Conjunto Espinosa), a former music promoter, former restaurant owner, was a 1985 Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&I University, a former junior high school educator, an artist, and the illustrator of The Big Bad Wolf in Texas (1983).

He goes home to reunite with her parents; Tony “Antonio” Espinoza and Crisanta Bustamante Espinoza, his grandson, Diego Martinez IV, and his brother-In-law, Alberto Hinojosa who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his eight children, Diamond Martinez, Juan Antonio (Anita) Espinosa, Jr., Cynthia (Jose Luis) Garcia all of Alice, Sonia (Frank) Espinosa-Alaniz of Corpus Christi, Belinda (Ben Villegas) Espinosa of Alice, Criselda (Daniel) Arguijo of Corpus Christi, Rebecca (Michael) Guerrero of San Antonio, and Jhonathon (Melissa Rojas) Espinosa of Petronila, Texas; his seven brothers and sisters, Sergio (Sylvia) Espinosa, Guadalupe (Norma) Espinosa, Jesus (Gracie) Espinosa all of Robstown, Texas, Diana Espinosa (Leonard, Jr.) Gutierrez of Richmond, Texas, Eduardo (Tomasita) Espinosa of Robstown, Texas, Esmeralda Espinosa (David) Lopez, and Leticia Espinosa (The Late Alberto) Hinojosa both of San Diego, Texas. He was also survived by his 25 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, as well as, many other relatives and friends who loved him unconditionally.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Interment followed at Los Dos Arbolitos Cemetery.
