Master Gardeners are volunteers who assist in the horticultural programs of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Some volunteer projects include “Learning To Grow” school gardens, the Corpus Christi Botanical Gardens, beautification projects, assisting with composting classes and plant care clinics, and answering phone questions from the general public, to name a few.
Interns receive a minimum of 50 hours of specialized training by state and local experts. In exchange, they commit to 50 hours of volunteer service within a year of completing the class.
